The dish ran away with the spoon

There was consternation at the start of this week's meet when we found that Le W*nk and Lax were missing. Who cares? you might say (in his case, anyway) - BUT they'd gone AWOL with the Hash cutlery and crockery! Could we possibly eat the Potluck banquet with our bare hands? Luckily Culture came up with an alternative, and Jamesbondage and Big Donk helped enact it.

And what a banquet it was - varied, tasty and nutritious! Thanks to all for their contributions!

We were at our home ground of John Scott Park and hashers took on a couple of our usual routes. The new Samford Park Run is now using a part of these, and Shockjock, who'd tried out the inaugural run, reported a crowd of 700 people...which must have been a bit of a squeeze here and there.

Grand plans

On Sunday we entered Le W*nk's and Lax's smashing future abode. It was a bomb site, sorry building site which they have grand plans for. Before we went on the grand tour, Le Wank did the right thing gave us a site induction, secured the construction site, provided us with PPE and outlined the emergency response plan.

B&W and Cashconverta celebrated birthdays during the week. Lax provided birthday cakes for them, but didn't include any candles, as it would have been too expensive.

Despite the basic facilities our hares did well to satisfy the 20 odd hungry hashers.

We hope to see our returning overseas travellers soon and hear of their escapades - Haughty and Culture returning from England and Morocco, Mile High and Hug'n'kiss from their Greek island cruise and Snappy from her European odyssey.  .

Grand Designs

Another pleasant jaunt around Wilston on Sunday. There seemed to be a lot of building activity along the trail, with no expense spared. It was good to see some additions to the housing stock.

Thanks to our hares Idle Vice and Upstanding for an interesting trail and for taking care of our culinary needs.

This year's red dress run is on 2nd December. This gives you plenty of time to ditch last year's frock (sustainably) and buy a new one.

Dirty undies

Another hot day in Samford. To counter this, we followed the shady Samford Creek trail. Surprisingly, a few of the hashers hadn't been on this trail before. At the ford, we stopped for a few minutes to view the height of the flood line and to appreciate the mighty force of nature.

As usual, potluck provided a plentiful feast. So as not to put us off our food, we delayed presentation of the father's day undies until everyone had eaten. This years recipient/victim was none other than Big Donk. Thanks to last years recipient, Dumbell, for not washing the undies and adding a new adornment.
